Getting Ahead: Extra Nursing Gear Part 2

Hello!

Well, because I'm a dork and severely passionate, I set aside some of my recent birthday money to buy more things that I will use within the next six months as I begin my nursing career this winter. Hauls are personally some of my favorite things to watch or read about, so I figured I would post another entry about the things that I recently purchased.

The best part is that I literally bought everything on clearance for the change of season - so I was frugal too!

The item I am probably most excited about are these gym shoes. Originally $35 at Target they were on seasonal sale for $11! They are so cute with the knit detail and have a great memory foam sole. I'm genuinely interested in purchasing a pair of nursing clogs - but those can be kind of expensive, so I'm going to have told off on that dream!

These scrunchies might seem like a blast from the past but I can totally see myself throwing my hair up in a messy bun with this lightweight, non-damaging fabric scrunchies at 3am during my shift. Plus, they'd be cute arm candy when my hair is down and I'm ready to go home after giving shift change report. You can't say I'm not a dreamer when I'm fantasizing about hair scrunchies haha I also love how the second scrunchy from the top resembles the knit pattern of the shoes I purchased above!

The last items that I purchased is another pride and joy of mine. I got these Vera Bradley items all 50% off because they are going to be discontinuing their "Lilac Tapestry" pattern. Considering I have dubbed my "nursing theme" colors navy, hot pink and purple - I think that these colors will fit perfectly.

The first bag I purchased was the

Small Vera Bag

I plan to use this bag during orientation once I am hired at a facility. I think it would be great to put orientation papers, a notebook and pens inside!

Lanyard

This lanyard will do what lanyards do best, and be used to hold my keys!

Lunch Cooler Bag

This is probably the purchase that I am most excited for! This lunch box is so big and it's insulated so my food will always remain cold in the break room fridge! It's very large too, so I'll be able to put a lot of healthy snacks and meals inside.

Large Zip Cosmetic                                                                                                                      Medium Zip Cosmetic

The two cosmetic bags will
probably be used to carry extra
supplies or trinkets. Everyone
knows I'll have a million pens
laying around so why not give
them a little home to carry them in!

The On A Roll Case

I plan to use this little case to hold emergency necessities - such as travel Advil, extra hair ties, and other feminine products that are always great to have with you in case you're in a pinch.

All links and images from the Vera Bradley Products come directly from VeraBradley.com and are put into this post for convenience of the reader, just in case the urge to go shopping arises.

As I have explored stores the past few days I have noticed that purple and paisley are major trends right now with all of the back to school items. I highly recommend taking advantage of this sale price if you are as much in love with this pattern as I am. I was not a Vera Bradley fan for so many years [it was super popular among my friends in high school] but this pattern has captured my interest in a very drastic way [considering I purchased so many items.....]. I hope you appreciate the pattern as much as I do!

Thank you so much for reading my blog post - I greatly appreciate it. Look out for more posts revolving around clinical, nursing school, and eventually the adventures of being a new-grad.
